Volanno Employee Article Makes the Front Page of the Air Traffic Control Association's Journal
On the Cover: Top intelligent transportation technology firm Volanno has been featured by the Air Traffic Control Association in an article on the use of Agile to increase business value and product quality, jumpstart innovation, enhance professional development, and free up capacity for air traffic controllers to focus on more complex, value-added work.
Now available to subscribers, the prestigious Air Traffic Control Association’s Journal of Air Traffic Control featured Volanno’s work on the cover of its Fall 2022 issue, titled “All-in-Tracking of Controller Training”.
As a premier provider of technology solutions to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for two decades, Volanno manages and develops the FAA Training Enterprise Application Management (TEAM) system. TEAM tracks and deploys air traffic controller training from hire to retire in a centralized digital repository. The system will soon be available at 313 air traffic control facilities.
Volanno TEAM project manager Charlie Bern included quotes from his co-worker Andrea White and officials at FAA and the National Air Traffic Control Association, both key stakeholders. The article highlights how the training system’s development, testing, and implementation works — and how the system provides efficiencies in operations and software development. TEAM provides a sustainable roadmap for optimally tracking air traffic control workforce skill sets and improving airspace safety and efficiency.
